The Great India Place,
Noida - 201301
What you see - The Great India Place Mall, located in Noida manages to attract a good crowd. It is one of the largest malls in Delhi-NCR and is spread over an area of 15 lakh square feet. It houses a multiplex, a theme park and number of international brands, all under one roof.
What you get - The mall is perfect for families, kids and couples looking for shopping as well as entertainment options. It has a basement parking area which is spread over two levels and has stairs and lifts for access to other levels. There's a sub level as well between basement one and the ground floor, housing Home Town for home decor and furniture and Big Bazaar for groceries and more.
The mall has a number of international brands on the ground floor and the first floor for clothing. Both western and ethnic wear for men, women and kids are available here. Some of the well known brands include CTC Plaza, Shoppers Stop, Globus, Guess, Study by Janak, Giovani etc.
The Great India Place Mall is also a good place for accessories. You can shop for footwear at D&A Shoes or Metro Shoes. There are stores dealing in beautiful jewelry, cosmetics, handbags etc too. Popular choices include Cygnus, Hazoorilal Jewelers etc. Looking for electronics? That's there too at Jumbo Electronics on the third floor. Book lovers can home in to Om Book Shop on the ground floor.
If shopping is not on your mind then catch the latest movie at the Big Cinemas multiplex here which has six screens that can seat more than 1,200 people at a time. The movie hall is on the top floor of the mall which also has the food court. The food court is spread over 1.8 lakh square feet and serves Italian, Indian food, chaat and other cuisines. There are other food options too like Rajdhani restaurant, Crazy Noodles, Pizza Hut, Nirulas, Moti Mahal, Sagar Ratna etc. Coffee lovers can head to Barista or Costa Coffee for a steaming cup of coffee with delectable snacks and pastries.
Our verdict - The mall is quite huge offering a plethora of options. Hardly a wonder that its popularity is growing by the day. In fact, during the weekends it is so crowded with families that you have to be lucky to find a parking space here. There are escalators, lifts and restrooms at different sections of the mall which are all well maintained. The only drawback is that checking it out is a tiresome process as it's really huge. Especially with kids around, you need to be careful of them not getting lost. Nevertheless, worth a visit.
